What usually goes wrong
The MK range was in most laptops of its time. We see head failures, bad sectors and firmware faults that make the laptop hang on start-up.
If your MK3265GSX is clicking, beeping or not spinning, switch it off. Every restart can damage the platters further. Don’t open it and don’t run recovery software on it.
