RAID and server recovery for UK businesses
When an array fails, the whole office stops. We rebuild RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10 arrays from the individual disks, recover virtual machines and databases, and give you a clear price and timescale once the free evaluation is done.
First: don’t rebuild
The most common reason a RAID recovery gets harder is a rebuild started on a failing array. If two disks are already weak, a rebuild can push the second one over the edge and overwrite good data with bad parity.
- Don’t run a rebuild, initialise or “repair” from the controller
- Don’t swap disks around or change their order
- Label each disk with its slot number before removing it
- Send us every disk in the array, including the ones that seem fine
What we work with
Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Lenovo and Supermicro servers; hardware controllers such as PERC and Smart Array; software RAID including Windows Storage Spaces and Linux mdadm; and file systems from NTFS and ReFS to ext4, XFS and VMFS. We recover VMware and Hyper-V virtual machines, SQL and Exchange databases, and shared drives.
RAID prices
| Evaluation | Free |
| RAID 0 | £650 |
| RAID 5, 6 and 10depends on the number of disks | £850–£1,500 |
All prices + VAT. Physically failed member disks may need a donor part, which we quote separately.
