What usually goes wrong
Ultrastar drives with "He" in the name are helium-filled. After 2018 they carry WD model numbers. We image each RAID member with PC-3000 before rebuilding the array.
If your HDN724040ALE640 is clicking, beeping or not spinning, switch it off. Every restart can damage the platters further. Don’t open it and don’t run recovery software on it.
