Privacy Policy
This notice explains how Creative IT (UK) Ltd, trading as Data Retrieval UK (“we”), uses personal information collected through this website and when we recover data for you. We are the data controller for the details you give us, and are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (registration ZA060744).
What we collect
Your name, email address, phone number and postal address; details of your device and the problem; and, where needed to check a recovery, the password or PIN for your device. This website itself doesn’t use contact forms; bookings are made on our booking system at bookings.dataretrieval.org.uk.
Data on your device
When we recover data, we act on your instructions. We only open files where it’s needed to check that the recovery has worked, we don’t share them with anyone, and we securely delete our working copy once you’ve confirmed you have your data.
Why we use your information
To carry out the job you’ve asked for (our contract with you), to contact you about it, to send invoices, and to meet our legal obligations such as keeping accounting records.
How long we keep it
Job and invoice records are kept for as long as UK tax law requires (normally six years). Recovered data and device passwords are deleted once the job is finished.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or ask us to delete it where we don’t need to keep it by law. Contact us at info@dataretrieval.org.uk or on 020 7237 6805. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
